Coming up on eighteen years.  Not that that means anything, really.

But what it does mean is that I am familiar with the training, the soreness, the highs and the lows.

It comforts me in times of joy, in times of sadness and in times of uncertainty.

When I’m in a funk, have sustained an injury, or am going through a personal hardship, I know what needs to be done.  I know how to break through to the other side because it’s been eighteen years of the same old, same old.

But I guess that’s the point: just train.
