Advice from the Movies; The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Wonderful movie.  I love watching ‘elderly’ movies with my wife.  There’s usually a lot of wisdom packed into the storyline – and this is especially the case when the movie is staged in India.

There is a wonderful ‘Indian saying’ that runs course throughout the film that I will carry with me forever.  Whether this quote is an Indian saying or not is beside the point.

“Everything will be alright in the end.  And if it’s not alright, it’s not the end.”

It’s right up there with quotes from the Karate Kid, which we will discuss at some point in the future I’m sure.

That line is used in many Indian films, see “Om Shanti Om” .. Which also borrows lines from the Alchemist with reference to the idea that the universe conspires to make your your dreams come true.
