Us Canucks are spending today and tomorrow celebrating Thanksgiving.
I’ve had a wonderful day. I awoke to my children showing me how they could read their library books. I walked my dog in the warm morning sunshine and listened to the birds chirp in the distance. Returning, I made my family chocolate chip waffles and we played veterinarian with Lego Friends.
Then we all went outside, raked leaves, jumped in them and threw them at each other. My chickens ran about and came to see if there were any bugs under them leaves. Sheep manure on the raised beds, oil in the car, started the generator because it hadn’t been run in a while. Up to the attic to check the mice traps.
Turkey dinner with all the fixings, gingerbread cake, phone calls to family and friends.
We give thanks: to you dear reader, to our teachers here and in another world, to our families and friends that keep us strong.
